Yesterday my family and I went for a drive, a scenic adventure, on a jaunt to South Padre Island. The temperature was around 90 degrees and it was mostly sunny, simply perfect for a gorgeous view of the Island.
The Historic lighthouse in the city of Post Isabel was built in 1852 and it stand 57 feet high. It first opened in 1859.
This is the view of the entrance to South Padre Island taking the queen isabella causeway bridge.
On the island there were some sand castles on display from the 28th annual Sandcastle Days which began Sept. 30th and ended Oct. 4th. Very artistic work!
